 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers.  Judge sanctions Nnamdi Kanu's sister-in-law for live-streaming court proceedings


A woman, Favour Kanu, has been sanctioned by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja, for streaming on Facebook, proceedings of the court case involving her brother-in-law, Nnamdi Kanu.

Favour is the wife of Prince Fineboy, the younger brother of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who is being tried for alleged terrorism.

Justice  Omotosho on Tuesday,  barred  Favour from attending three court proceedings after admitting and apologising to the court engaging in the act.

Kanu’s lawyer, Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN, also apologised on her behalf. But the trial judge was particularly miffed that Favour had at the last adjourned date done a similar thing.

Her phone was then confiscated by the court for recording what happened in court.

Kanu is slammed with a seven-count charge bordering on terrorism. He, however, had pleaded not-guilty at his re-arraignment before Justice Omotosho.
