Kaduna businessman drags ex fiancee’s father to court, demands dowry refund A businessman, Nasiru Dayyabu, on Wednesday, dragged the father of his ex-fiance, Mallam Sani Direba, to Shari’a Court II sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over N260,000 dowry.  Judge sanctions Nnamdi Kanu's sister-in-law for live-streaming court proceedings

A woman, Favour Kanu, has been sanctioned by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja, for streaming on Facebook, proceedings of the court case involving her brother-in-law, Nnamdi Kanu.

Favour is the wife of Prince Fineboy, the younger brother of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who is being tried for alleged terrorism.

Justice  Omotosho on Tuesday,  barred  Favour from attending three court proceedings after admitting and apologising to the court engaging in the act.

Kanu’s lawyer, Chief Kanu Agabi, SAN, also apologised on her behalf. But the trial judge was particularly miffed that Favour had at the last adjourned date done a similar thing.

Her phone was then confiscated by the court for recording what happened in court.

Kanu is slammed with a seven-count charge bordering on terrorism. He, however, had pleaded not-guilty at his re-arraignment before Justice Omotosho.
