 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.  Late Shebah Rilakwo Not Our Student, NSUK Clarifies


The Nasarawa State University, Keffi, NSUK has reacted to reports circulating in some online media outlets regarding the death of its student, Shebah Rilakwo Jatau.


In a statement issued by its acting Information and Protocol Officer, Jaafar Abdullahi Abubakar, the state-owned University, however, said the deceased was not a student but the son of a staff member, Professor Benson Shedrack Jatau.


Abubakar, who described the reports as misinformation, urged members of the public to disregard them in their entirety.


The deceased, who has since been buried according to reports, took h¡s own l¡f£ on April 28, 2025, at the university's senior staff quarters.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
