 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.  Nollywood Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe hospitalised for internal bleeding following a kick from a colleague, Zubby Michael


Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has been hospitalised after his colleague Zubby Michael kicked him.


In an Instagram post, the actor revealed that he suffered an unexpected injury on a movie set with Zubby. 


According to him, while shooting a movie, Zubby had kicked him in the chest, which was not part of the script nor directed by the filmmaker.


Sharing more details about the unfortunate incident, he clarified that his post wasn’t intended to call out his senior colleague but to raise awareness about the importance of safety in Nollywood productions.


“Just wanted to share an incident that happened on set a few days ago. This isn’t to call anyone out, but it’s a serious reminder to prioritise each other’s safety on set. 


During a scene, I received a kick to the chest from my colleague who wasn’t part of the script or directed by the director.


It’s caused me serious pain. Had to get medication for my chest to feel better today. I did all these by myself. 


No assistance! When we’re working without insurance policies or readily available first aid, unexpected physical actions like this, even if accidental, can have real consequences. Let us commit to sticking to the script and ensuring everyone feels safe and respected.


What if something more serious had happened? Or this went south? Every action on set, particularly physical ones, must be intentional and within the director’s vision. 


Please let us all look out for each other and ensure our sets are always safe spaces where everyone feels secure and protected. 


Our health and safety are paramount. Our well-being should always come first. Peace !!!”


In a follow-up post, his management revealed that the actor has been hospitalised for internal bleeding and is receiving treatment.


“We regret to inform you that Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe was rushed to the hospital this evening. 


He is undergoing treatment for internal bleeding following an incident involving a kick on the chest during filming with his colleague Zubby Michael.


We are committed to providing the best possible care and will ensure timely updates are shared with the public and the AGN board.
