 Randall Wallace says Mel Gibson warned 'Satan's going to come after you' before writing The Resurrection of the Christ Screenwriter Randall Wallace has revealed that Mel Gibson warned him about potential spiritual challenges before the pair began writing The Resurrection of the Christ, the sequel to The Passion of the Christ. Speaking on Raymond Arroyo's Arroyo Grande podcast, Wallace said he was the one who first suggested making a film focused on the resurrection of Jesus while he and Gibson were promoting Hacksaw Ridge in 2016. “Mel didn't approach me. I approached him, actually,” Wallace said. According to Wallace, Gibson had already spent years thinking about telling the Resurrection story. He noted that the original cut of The Passion of the Christ did not include the resurrection scene that was eventually added at the end of the film after audience feedback.  Nollywood Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe hospitalised for internal bleeding following a kick from a colleague, Zubby Michael


Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has been hospitalised after his colleague Zubby Michael kicked him.


In an Instagram post, the actor revealed that he suffered an unexpected injury on a movie set with Zubby. 


According to him, while shooting a movie, Zubby had kicked him in the chest, which was not part of the script nor directed by the filmmaker.


Sharing more details about the unfortunate incident, he clarified that his post wasn’t intended to call out his senior colleague but to raise awareness about the importance of safety in Nollywood productions.


“Just wanted to share an incident that happened on set a few days ago. This isn’t to call anyone out, but it’s a serious reminder to prioritise each other’s safety on set. 


During a scene, I received a kick to the chest from my colleague who wasn’t part of the script or directed by the director.


It’s caused me serious pain. Had to get medication for my chest to feel better today. I did all these by myself. 


No assistance! When we’re working without insurance policies or readily available first aid, unexpected physical actions like this, even if accidental, can have real consequences. Let us commit to sticking to the script and ensuring everyone feels safe and respected.


What if something more serious had happened? Or this went south? Every action on set, particularly physical ones, must be intentional and within the director’s vision. 


Please let us all look out for each other and ensure our sets are always safe spaces where everyone feels secure and protected. 


Our health and safety are paramount. Our well-being should always come first. Peace !!!”


In a follow-up post, his management revealed that the actor has been hospitalised for internal bleeding and is receiving treatment.


“We regret to inform you that Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe was rushed to the hospital this evening. 


He is undergoing treatment for internal bleeding following an incident involving a kick on the chest during filming with his colleague Zubby Michael.


We are committed to providing the best possible care and will ensure timely updates are shared with the public and the AGN board.
