 China detains US seismologist for nearly two years without trial as family seeks release before Xi visit A China-born American seismologist has been detained in China for nearly two years without trial, with his family now publicly calling for his release as diplomatic efforts continue over his case. Youlin Chen, a Boston resident and U.S. citizen, was detained by Chinese state security officials in November 2024 while visiting his parents in Beijing and has since been charged with espionage, according to an organization assisting his family. Chen’s wife, Yufang Rong, said she has not spoken with him in more than 600 days and expressed concerns about his health and well-being. She said President Donald Trump has taken an interest in the case and she hopes his administration can help bring Chen home. OHIO COPS DISCOVER A RACCOON NAMED CHEWY.... ATTEMPTING TO SMOKE THE EVIDENCE DURING A TRAFFIC STOP. (PHOTO).

  Ohio cops discover a raccoon named Chewy.... attempting to smoke the evidence during a traffic stop. 


This hilariously disturbing encounter took place during a traffic stop in Springfield Township, Ohio on May 5th.


Police pulled a car over on South Arlington Road due to the vehicle's registered owner having an active warrant. They were not ready for the direction this stop took.


After the police took the car's owner, 55-year-old Victoria Vidal into custody without incident, officers went back to the vehicle only to discover another suspect in the process of getting high on the suspect's (large) supply. 


Upon his return, Officer Branham discovered Victoria's pet raccoon, Chewy, in the vehicles driver's seat with a meth pipe in his hand. Officer Branham exclaimed, "the raccoon has the pipe! Oh my God he's trying to smoke it!" Chewy did not attempt to start the car and flee the scene. Although, after watching the video, we firmly believe Chewy could have totally done that. 


An additional search of the vehicle uncovered a large amount of methamphetamine, crack cocaine and additional methamphetamine pipes.


Victoria is being charged with possession of drugs, possession of paraphernalia, driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license.


Chewy appears to be facing no charges. It is unclear if Victoria's defense is going to try to pin everything on Chewy.
