 No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. Wasting no time, the captain of the sea tow boat was able to maneuver alongside the distressed boat and begin efforts to extricate Deiter and his dog from the doomed vessel.  Eventually, the sea tow captain was able to pull both Deiter and his dog onboard the tow boat. However, once Deiter was pulled to safety, he repaid a stranger's kindness with treachery.  Deiter shoved the captain from his own boat and fled the scene in the stolen boat, leaving the man who had just risked his own vessel and life...

The Executive Chairman, of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area ( LCDA ), Hamed Idowu Daniel Tijani ( HID ), today, Tuesday, 27th May, 2025 was joined, by other very important dignitaries in the LCDA, to commission a newly, built Divisional office, for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command in the area.


The Executive Chairman, Ojokoro LCDA, seized, the opportunity, to further charge the officers and men of the Division, to ensure that they avert all forms of pipeline vandalism, inferno and other forms of criminality, often committed, by miscreants and recalcitrant hoodlums in the LCDA.


He stressed that Ojokoro LCDA is a land of prosperity and as such the security of its communities can not be negotiated. Therefore, all security agencies need to work with the citizens of the LCDA, to make the lives and property of the safe and secured.


Recall that the foundation of the new Divisional office was laid, by the Vice Chairman of the LCDA, Mr Coker Oladipupo sometime in August, 2024. He was also accompanied, by many other management staff of the council to carry out the ground breaking exercise last year.


The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro seized, the commissioning ceremony to appreciate the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro LCDA and his hardworking team, for delivering on their promises to the Corps in their area. He further said that to whom much is given much is expected and as such the LCDA should expect the Ojokoro formation to work with all relevant stakeholders, in a bid to ensure the security and protection of all critical national assets and infrastructure in the area and by extension Lagos State.


He further requested, for much more support of the Government and people of the area in safeguarding the communities. He charged them to feed the Corps with  necessary credible and actionable information that can be used to destroy all hideouts of unscrupulous elements in the axis and sustain the prosperity, progess and peace of the area. 


The Lagos State Commandant also presented, an award of excellence to the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro LCDA, for a job well done and his excellent penchant for the security and safety of the lives and property of his people in the council.


The Lagos State Commandant was ably, represented, today, Tuesday, at the office commissioning, by Deputy Commandant of Corps Jimoh Sulaiman, his second in command and Head of Administration Department. The Divisional Officer, Ojokoro Division, Chief Superintendent of Corps Oluokun Victor Adekunle and the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin and other officers and men also joined the representative of the Lagos State Commandant, to commission the new building.


Other very distinguished, personalities present to grace the occasion today, include; Member House of Representative, Honourable Adeyemi Olabinjo, Kabiyesi Oba Adeshoga Adetola Williams, Tomia I, the Council Manager, Mojisola Akinola and the CDA Chairman, Mr Durowoju Olanrewaju and many distinguished personalities.
