 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. S. A: A 34-YEAR-OLD INSECURE BOYFRIEND STABBED HIS GIRLFRIEND TO DEATH IN MALAMULELE SECTION A IN THE EARLY HOURS OF FRIDAY, 30 MAY 2025.(PHOTO).

 A 34-year-old insecure boyfriend stabbed his girlfriend to death in Malamulele Section A in the early hours of Friday, 30 May 2025.

 Reportedly, he went to the victim's rental room and was let in. After some few minutes an altercation ensued and it led to stabbing. Neighbours heard the victim screaming and when they arrived there, the perpetrator ran away to the nearby bushes, leaving his girlfriend in a pool of blood. Police and EMS were called and she was certified dead. A manhunt was immediately activated and he was found in the nearby bushes a lo cucululu like a rabbit. The police were like a hi fambi ehokweni ya vavanuna and he is eating beans right now while covering himself with murahadonki...

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
