 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways.  A 34-year-old insecure boyfriend stabbed his girlfriend to death in Malamulele Section A in the early hours of Friday, 30 May 2025.

 Reportedly, he went to the victim's rental room and was let in. After some few minutes an altercation ensued and it led to stabbing. Neighbours heard the victim screaming and when they arrived there, the perpetrator ran away to the nearby bushes, leaving his girlfriend in a pool of blood. Police and EMS were called and she was certified dead. A manhunt was immediately activated and he was found in the nearby bushes a lo cucululu like a rabbit. The police were like a hi fambi ehokweni ya vavanuna and he is eating beans right now while covering himself with murahadonki...
