 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Tragic Incident in Abia: Man Allegedly Sets Wife, Three Children Ablaze Over Suspected Affair


A devastating tragedy struck Asaumudim in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State on Saturday morning when a man allegedly set his wife and three children ablaze. The incident, which occurred in the early hours, is said to have been triggered by the man’s suspicion that his wife was having an affair, reportedly due to her phone frequently ringing.


According to local sources, the suspect doused his family with a flammable substance before igniting the fire, leading to the horrific deaths. Authorities have yet to release official statements, but the incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with residents expressing grief and outrage.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
