 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence.  Two Air Force officers, 2 others arrested over death of Kaduna petrol attendant


Two officers of Nigerian Air Force identified as Archibong Udoh and Ayodele Blessing and two civilians have been arrested for allegedly torturing one Joseph Fada, a petrol station attendant with Albash filling station, Joseph Fada to death in Kaduna. Beauty products

The two civilians arrested are the manager of Albash filling, Amina Abdurrazaq, and the owner of the medicine store where the deceased was rushed to and later died.

The manager of Albash filling station had reportedly handed Fada to the two Air Force officers over alleged misappropriation of N335,000 from fuel sales.

The Air Force officers had consequently detained and tortured the victim at 413 Force Protection Group of the Nigerian Air Force, Kaduna as part of efforts to retrieve the funds from him. Beauty products

But Fada became unconscious and was rushed to medicine store for treatment and was confirmed dead.

Kaduna Police Command’s spokesperson, Mansir Hassan, confirmed the arrest of the four suspects to Channels Television.

According to him, the two NAF personnel, the manager of Albash filling, Amina Abdurrazaq, and the owner of the medicine store were arrested after the case was transferred from the airport division

The Kaduna Police Command spokesperson added that the suspects have been detained for further investigation, while the body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.

He added that the the police are working in collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force to ensure that justice prevails.
