The Tor Tiv and Chairman, Benue State Traditional Council Prof. James Iorzua Ayatse CON and Och'Idoma His Royal Majesty Chief John Elaigwu Odogbo PhD. Has on behalf of Benue State traditional council, issued 14days ultimatum to nomadic farmers and terrorists to exit Benue lands or be ready to face full wrath of the law.
The traditional rulers made this known today during a township Hall Meeting organized through the office of Technical Adviser to Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia on Media, Publicity and strategic communications Chief Dr. Solomon Iorpav at New Banquet Hall, Government House Makurdi as part of activities marking the 2nd year anniversary of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia's administration.
"Following recent insecurity Challenges in the state where original inhabitants of the State are been gruesomely in their homes by terrorists suspected to be Fulani herdsmen militias, we hereby, issued 14 days ultimatum to all nomadic farmers and gang of terrorists to vacates Benue Land's within 14 days, We cannot continue to watch our innocent subjects been gruesomely murdered by terrorists for just no reason" - the traditional rulers unanimously emphasized.
The town Hall meeting was attended by the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia ably represented by his deputy, Dr. Sam Ode mni.
The meeting was also attended by Principal Private Secretary (PPS) Dr. Emmanuel Chenge, Local government council Chairmen, Honorable commissioners, Special Advisers, PSAs, SSAs, SAs, Traditional rulers led by Tor Tiv HRM Prof. James Iorzua Ayatse ably represented by Tor Lobi, Chief Moses Anagende and Och'Idoma HRM. Chief John Elaigwu Odogbo PhD. Religeous leaders, Leadership and members of All Progressives Congress, Benue Youths, Women, Civil servants, Pensioners, Labour Unions, Heads of agencies and Parastatas, students union bodies amongst others.
