 Four people have died after a car was swept away at an overflowing bridge in the Makotopong River near Sebayeng. Police recovered the bodies after a blue Renault Kwid carrying five occupants was pulled into the river during heavy water flow on Sunday morning, 8 March 2026. One passenger escaped from the vehicle and alerted police and emergency services. Police say the car was travelling along the Madiga–Makotopong gravel road when it overturned at the flooded bridge and was dragged into the river. The Provincial Search and Rescue team recovered the first body on Sunday. The victim was identified as Lebapa Petrus Mochitele, 27, from Madiga Village. EMS personnel declared him dead at the scene. Search operations resumed on Monday with the SAPS Water Wing Unit, EMS Search and Rescue, the Fire and Rescue Department, and an EMS helicopter. 88 CHILDREN WERE RESCUED FROM AN IOWA CHURCH "SUMMER CAMP" AND ARE NOW IN PROTECTIVE CUSTODY. (PHOTO).

 In an almost unbelievable story, 88 children were rescued from an Iowa church "summer camp" and are now in protective custody!


The Louisa County Sheriff's Department said they now have 88 children in protective custody after conducting a child saftey operation.


According to reports, the Sheriff's Office swept into the Shekinah Glory Summer Camp in Columbus Junction, Iowa on Thursday, June 12th and Friday, June 13th. The operation was in response to multiple reports of child a**** and endangerment regarding the children who were attending. 


After conducting their operation, the children were loaded onto buses and taken to a nearby church to meet with child protection workers. It was understandably a very chaotic scene. After being interviewed, ALL of the children were placed into emergency temporary foster care until all parents and guardians could be contacted. 


These parents paid $500 per child for this alleged summer camp! 


This is an ongoing investigation and authorities have not released any additional information regarding the extent of the a**** or potential suspects in the case.
