 So Linus Williams (Blord) has been released from Kuje prison after fulfilling his bail conditions, finally, freedom after a few weeks in custody. However, here’s the current position of his case:  He is still expected to show up and stand his trial.  If he fails to appear in court even for one day, his bail can be revoked and a bench warrant may be issued against him, meaning a return to Kuje. If the prosecution cannot prove the charges against him, he will be discharged and acquitted. If the prosecution proves the charges, he may be sentenced and sent back to Kuje. I think he should seek a peaceful resolution to the case. Congrats to him on his freedom for now.

 A Dekalb County Georgia basketball coach and 'local legend' is out of a job after a video of him spanking players with a shoe surfaces.


Dr. Phillip McCrary was the longtime head basketball coach at Columbia High School and somewhat of a legend at the school. McCrary has won countless games and even has a gymnasium named after him. Now his long career has ended in a disgraceful way.


A video was recently shared by a parent whose child previously attended Columbia High and played under Dr. McCrary. The parent and child wish to remain unidentified for fear of retaliation, however that doesn't change the alarming content of the video.


The video which was captured last November while the team was playing a tournament in the Bahamas shows an inappropriate exchange between Dr. McCrary and a student.


In the video, you see Dr. McCrary forcing a player to lower his pants inside of a hotel room before striking the child's buttocks several times with a shoe. This was done in front of other children. McCrary asks the player, "Why is this happening?" The player answered "Because I invited a girl up to my room". 


The unidentified mother alleges another child was also spanked by McCrary on the same evening.


The school has not commented on the incident but has stated student safety is their highest concern. The school also confirmed that Dr. McCrary is no longer employed with the Dekalb County School District as of Monday, June 2nd.
