 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. A FLORIDA FATHER MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE ON FATHER'S DAY.(PHOTO).

 A Florida father made the ultimate sacrifice on Father's Day.


33-year-old Antwon Wilson was enjoying Father's Day at the beach in Ft. Lauderdale with his daughters when everything changed for this family. Circumstances required their father to step up and show what a father's love means and Antwon did not hesitate. The incident unfolded shortly after 7 P.M. only minutes after lifeguards finished their last shift of the day.


As Antwon was in the water he noticed his young  daughter was struggling in the rough surf. When seconds counted and his young daughters life hung in the balance Antwon sprang into action.


Antwon struggled through the rough waters and managed to reach his daughter. He was then able to keep her afloat until 

lifeguards who fortunately hadn't left for the day, could make it to his daughter.


Sadly, after handing his daughter off to the lifeguards Antwon was immediately pulled underwater. Antwon was recovered from the water only minutes later.


Both father and daughter were rushed to Broward Health Medical Center where Antwon passed away. Antwon's young daughter is expected to make a full recovery. Her father's selfless act saved her life.
