Kaduna businessman drags ex fiancee’s father to court, demands dowry refund A businessman, Nasiru Dayyabu, on Wednesday, dragged the father of his ex-fiance, Mallam Sani Direba, to Shari’a Court II sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over N260,000 dowry. The complainant had joined Direba in the suit against two brothers demanding a refund of N250, 000 dowry and N10,000 introduction money he paid to marry his daughter. Represented by his counsel, Mr Sani Sunusi, the complainant told the court that he sent his people from Karaye, Kano State to Kaduna in 2025, to seek for the defendant’s daughter’s hand in marriage. “We paid the dowry and the introduction money (kudin gausuwa) and were waiting for them to set a date for the wedding,” he said. “Unfortunately, the lady’s father called to inform us that they have cancelled the marriage.” The counsel said the complainant had asked for the refund of his money since Sept. 2025 but all the efforts he made proved abortive. A KENTUCKY WOMAN CRASHED INTO A SAVE A LOT STORE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND WAS EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE INTO THE STORE.(PHOTO).

 A Kentucky woman crashed into a Save A Lot store at a high rate of speed and was ejected from the vehicle into the store.


A Georgetown Police Officer clocked a vehicle being operated by Amber Samokar going 71 mph in a 55 mph zone on McClelland Circle at 1:50 a.m.,  Monday morning. The officer wheeled around to initiate a stop but discovered the vehicle had crashed on US 25.


The officer then approached the vehicle to check the condition of the driver, however as he was approaching the vehicle, Amber sped off. The officer made his way back to his cruiser and contacted dispatch for permission to pursue.  


Before he could receive that permission the incident came to a shocking conclusion. The vehicle slammed into the front of the Save A Lot grocery store on Broadway. The impact sent Amber Samokar through the windshield of her vehicle and into the store.


Officers quickly located Samokar suffering from serious injuries. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.


When Amber Samokar is released from the hospital she is facing a long list of charges. Amber is being charged with fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment of a police officer, reckless driving, criminal mischief, DUI and speeding.
