 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  ADEBAYO SALAMI'S 60TH ANNIVERSARY MOVIE PREMIERES JUNE 29


Veteran actor Adebayo Salami is releasing a new movie to mark 60 years of his acting career. Titled “Her Excellency," the movie will premiere on June 29 and will hit the cinemas on July 4, 2025.


The 72-year-old actor, began his acting career in 1964, and have featured in more than 300 Yoruba movies over the decades. His son, popular actor Femi Adebayo, expressed great enthusiasm at his father's 60th acting anniversary.


“Today, I stand with immense pride, gratitude, and joy as I celebrate my father—my mentor, my hero – @adebayo.salami as he marks 60 years of unwavering excellence in filmmaking," Femi said.


“What better way to honour this incredible milestone than with the release of his latest masterpiece: Her Excellency — a film that reflects not just his artistry, but the depth of his passion and dedication to this craft."
