ALLEGED WIRETAPPING: COURT REJECTS EL-RUFAI’S NO-CASE SUBMISSION, ORDERS HIM TO ENTER DEFENCE A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to enter his defence, if he so desires, in his ongoing trial over the alleged unlawful interception of the telephone communications of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. Justice Joyce Abdulmalik gave the order on Monday while ruling on El-Rufai’s no-case submission. The judge dismissed the application, holding that the prosecution had presented sufficient evidence to warrant calling on the defendant to enter his defence. The court adjourned the case until November 25 for the defence.

 ALLEGED LAND DISPUTE IN OKPUNO-AWKA THAT LED TO THE MURDER OF TWO PERSONS: POLICE RECOVERS ONE AUTOMATIC PUMP ACTION GUN FROM THE SCENE WHILE FIVE SUSPECTS ARE IN CUSTODY UNDERGOING INTERROGATIONS


_As the Operatives implement measures to arrest other fleeing suspects_ 

 

The Anambra State Police Command has recovered one automatic pump action and has five suspects in custody. The suspects are currently undergoing interrogation over the murder of two persons and grievous harm to another in an alleged land dispute at Okochi - Ime Village, Okpuno, Awka South Local Government Area. 


The disturbing incident recorded on 3rd June, 2025 revealed that the armed suspects with pump action guns and operating in an unmarked black Toyota Corolla car  attacked the victims and fled the scene. 


The bodies of the victims have been recovered and deposited at the morgue while the other is in the hospital receiving treatment. 


Given the above, the Commissioner of Police has ordered the immediate transfer of the Case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka for a comprehensive investigation. He has further directed the emplacement of necessary measures to arrest other fleeing suspects.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
