 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Anambra Government Approves Funds for Pharmaceutical Grade Kaolin Warehouse Construction

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has approved funds for the warehouse construction of the Pharmaceutical Grade Kaolin at Umunuko, Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government Area of the state. 


The Pharmaceutical Grade Kaolin, which is a specific type of Kaolin, used in pharmaceutical preparations, is part of the state government's investment drive to bring in Pharmaceutical Companies to the state inform of partnerships for the overall development and industrialization of the state. 


The Managing Director/CEO of Anambra State Solid Minerals Development Company Limited, Prof.Charles O.Ofoegbu, represented by his General Manager, Mr Ebuka Ujubuonu, during the handover of the project to the contractor, noted that the project is the second phase of the established Kaolin Processing Plant for industrial purposes, which is already in commercialisation stage.


Characterised by it's high purity and controlled particle size, Mr Ujubuonu emphasised that the pharmaceutical Kaolin plays a crucial role in the formulation of medications, with its excipient in various pharmaceutical dosage forms including tablets, capsules, suspensions and creams. He further mentioned that rigorous quality control will ensure that its use is safe and free from harmful contaminants.


The elders of the community who were present during the handover ceremony, while speaking through their village chairman, Chief Mike Anoliefo, expressed joy over the new development and pledged their full support to the state government. 


Team from the Ministry of Housing were also on ground for inspections, and to give necessary recommendations for the warehouse based on specifications in the drawing.


The Contractor incharge of the project, Mr. Chigozie Igwe on his part, promised to deliver within the stipulated time frame.
