 HERDSMEN KILL DRIVER ON HUMANITARIAN MISSION IN TARABA STATE  10th January, 2026      A commercial driver, Mr. Amishe Omeny, has been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen while on a humanitarian visit to a displaced community in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State. The deceased, from Tse Amise after Tseem, was reportedly attacked on Friday within Chanchanji Ward as he travelled to Adokia, a displaced settlement located after Tseem Sabe. He was said to have gone to the area to assist villagers with the transportation of foodstuffs. Sources in the community told Benue Info-pedia, that Omeny volunteered his services as a driver to support residents affected by ongoing insecurity, when he was ambushed and killed by the assailants. The killing has sparked grief and outrage among residents, who described the incident as tragic and senseless.  ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS A DOMESTIC WORKER WHO ABSCONDED WITH THE EMPLOYER'S VEHICLE

 

Police Operatives attached to the 33 Police Station in the late evening of 13th June 2025 acting on an intelligence-driven investigation, arrested one Mr. Divine Ifeanyi Nnalue at Ugbeji - Okpanam very close to Asaba in Delta State. The suspect is a domestic worker who allegedly stole a black Toyota Camry with Reg No: ENU 289 JF belonging to his employer at Trinity Avenue, Federal Housing in 33. 


During the interrogation, the suspect confessed to having sold the car to an unidentified person. Given the revelations of the suspect, the Operatives are working on the information for possible recovery of the vehicle and arrest of the other persons involved in the criminal act. 


This arrest highlights the Police Command's ability to track down and bring to justice individuals who breach trust and commit crimes. It also demonstrates the Command's commitment to protecting citizens' properties and upholding the law.
