 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  APC Debunks Claims of Automatic Tickets for National Assembly Members Ahead of 2027 Elections


The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports claiming that the party has granted automatic tickets to all its National Assembly members for the 2027 elections. In a statement issued on Tuesday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC labeled the circulating report as “fake news” and urged the public to disregard it.


Morka clarified that the report, titled ‘APC Grants Automatic Tickets to All National Assembly Members,’ did not originate from the party and was of “mischievous origin.” “The attention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been drawn to a purported breaking news report in viral circulation. The report is FAKE NEWS and should be disregarded in its entirety as it did not emanate from our great party,” he stated.


The APC’s statement comes amid heightened political discussions as the 2027 general elections approach, with the party emphasizing the need for accurate information among its members and the general public.
