 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Assistant DHS Secretary TriciaOhio Responds Sharply to Kim Kardashian’s Criticism of Trump Immigration Policy


A top Department of Homeland Security official fired back at Kim Kardashian Wednesday after the reality TV star described Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportation raids as “inhumane.” 


“@KimKardashian, which one of these convicted child molesters, murderers, drug traffickers and rapists would you like to stay in the county?“ Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin wrote in an X post directed at the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star.


McLaughlin’s post included mugshots and violent profiles of four illegal migrants recently nabbed in ICE enforcement operations. 


Among them, were: Eswin Uriel Castro, a previously deported illegal immigrant with criminal convictions for child molestation, being armed with a dangerous weapon; Gerardo Antonio-Palacios, a Mexican national with previous convictions for homicide and burglary; Antonio Benitez-Ugarte, another illegal immigrant from Mexico with a prior drug trafficking conviction; and Mab Khleb, a 53-year-old illegal immigrant from Cambodia with a criminal history that includes conviction for possession and transport of a controlled substance, lewd action with a child and battery. 


“These are just a few of the convicted illegal criminals who have been picked up in the last 72 hours,” McLaughlin noted.
