 Chawai Community Appeals To Gov. Uba Sani For Relief, Medical Support After Deadly Kauru Attack The people of Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have appealed to Governor Uba Sani to provide urgent relief and medical assistance to victims of the deadly attack on Naridon village in Kamaru Ward. In an open letter addressed to the governor, the community commended his leadership, describing his administration as inclusive and fair. They said this had given residents confidence that every community in the state is valued. The community, however, expressed concern over what it described as the lack of government intervention following the attack on Naridon village, in which it said 30 people were killed. According to the letter, many survivors and families of the victims are still struggling with grief, trauma, displacement, and the challenges of caring for those injured in the attack.  ‎Bill for creation of the 6th South-East  state(ANIM) passes second reading in Senate

‎A bill seeking the creation of a new state in the South-East geopolitical zone of the country has passed its second reading in the Senate and is now under consideration by the Senate Committee on Constitutional Review.

‎

‎Senator Osita Izunaso, representing Imo West, disclosed this development on Friday during a media parley in Abuja, where he marked his two-year milestone in the National Assembly.

‎

‎He revealed that the proposed state, tentatively named ANIM State will be carved out from parts of Anambra and Imo States.He stated the creation of ANIM state is well deserved for South East 

‎

‎"It’s not a favour, it’s a matter of equity, Every other region in the country has six states, except the South-East, which has only five. We’re not asking for too much,just for the balance Nigeria’s federal character demands,” 

‎

‎The senator also said it would be unfair for anybody to protest against the proposed new state, warning that the South-East cannot continue to remain a minority in the regional standing of the country.

‎

‎According to him, the creation of the proposed ANIM State will go through due constitutional process, including a referendum, and would not be impose.
