 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  CONCERN GROWS OVER ALLEGED KIDNAP OF ANGELA SALEM, SISTER TO LATE JOURNALIST, TORDUE SALEM

Concerns are mounting over the alleged abduction of Angela Salem, the sister of the late journalist Tordue Salem, who was reportedly kidnapped in Lagos on Wednesday.


A source close to the family revealed receiving a distressing phone call indicating that Angela has been missing for days. “I got a call that Angela Salem, the sister of our late brother Tordue Salem, was kidnapped in Lagos since Wednesday,” Krayzeetee Atu Terver  stated, adding, “I don’t know how to further confirm the information.”


Angela, a youth from Benue State, is well known in the community, and the news of her alleged disappearance has sparked worry among friends, relatives, and members of the Benue youth network.


The source urged friends, family, and the general public to attempt reaching out to Angela in order to confirm the situation and determine how best to assist.


Angela’s brother, the late Tordue Salem, was a journalist with Vanguard Newspapers who tragically died under controversial circumstances in 2021. His death had previously raised questions about safety and justice in the media and civil society space.
