 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  COURT GRANTS BAIL TO 70-YEAR-OLD MAN ACCUSED OF VANDALISING PUBLIC ASSET


A Magistrate Court in Bolade, Oshodi, on Monday granted bail to a 70-year-old suspect, Mr. Kayode Otitoju, who was arraigned on a two-count charge after he was arrested on Sunday at Lekki Phase 1 for vandalising an ongoing fence work project by the canal setback being undertaken by the State Government.


The Court granted the accused, who pleaded not guilty to the two-count charges preferred against him, bail after an application by the defence counsel, Oluwaseun Ettu, Esq., for bail on the most lenient terms, including N200,000 bond, One Surety, Presentation of three-year tax receipts and Verification of address.


The case has been adjourned to 25th July 2025 for commencement of the trial. However, the accused is yet to meet the bail conditions at the time of compiling this report.
