 “No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity. For over 20 years, around 180 households in the community have relied on illegal electrical connections pulled from neighboring areas to power their homes. Angry over the lack of formal grid infrastructure, residents are directing their frustration at the ruling African National Congress (ANC). "We have made a collective decision: no electricity, no vote," said community leader Lesiba Rankapole, 59. "We know it is illegal, but we had no choice because we cannot live without electricity.  In a bizarre moment during Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex trafficking trial, the music mogul approached veteran courtroom sketch artist Jane Rosenberg with an unusual request. During Thursday's lunch break, Combs asked her to "soften it up a bit," saying she makes him look like a "koala" in her sketches.


 The 55-year-old defendant, who has pleaded not guilty to five criminal counts including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, now sports grey hair and a beard after months in federal custody. Rosenberg, who has covered major trials for over four decades including those of Ghislaine Maxwell and the Boston Marathon bomber, told CBS News about the unexpected interaction.


 This comes as prosecutors allege Combs used his wealth and influence to orchestrate elaborate sex trafficking operations called "freak offs." The same day, a judge warned Combs' defense team he could be removed from court if he tried to interact with the jury.
