 ‘I’ll turn off the mic’ — Remi Tinubu reins in Adeleke’s singing at Ooni’s anniversary First Lady Oluremi Tinubu cautioned Ademola Adeleke, the Osun state governor, for prolonged singing during his remarks at the 10th coronation anniversary celebration of Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife. The moment, captured in a now-viral video, occurred as the governor mounted the podium on Sunday to pay tribute to the monarch and to congratulate the Remi on her newly bestowed chieftaincy title, Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua. DOCTOR CONFIRMED THAT DNA SAMPLE MATCHES IN THE AIR INDIA PLANE CRASH HAVE REACHED 92, CORRESPONDING TO 87 INDIVIDUALS DUE TO DUPLICATION. SO FAR, 47 BODIES. (PHOTO).


 The Additional Medical Superintendent of Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital, Dr Rajnish Patel, on Monday confirmed that DNA sample matches in the Air India plane crash have reached 92, corresponding to 87 individuals due to duplication. So far, 47 bodies have been dispatched to different districts across Gujarat and Rajasthan.


“Of the bodies brought to Civil Hospital, DNA matching of 92 (body remains) is completed. Of this, the number of individuals is 87 because there is duplication. 47 bodies have been dispatched from here to districts including Kheda, Ahmedabad, Kota, Mahesana, Bharuch, Vadodara, Aravalli, Anand, Junagarh, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Mahisagar and Bhavnagar,” Dr Patel said.


The London-bound Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on June 12, killing 241 out of 242 people onboard, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. The aircraft struck a doctor’s hostel on the hospital premises, also claiming the lives of at least 33 individuals on the ground, including MBBS students and residents.


The lone survivor, Vishwashkumar Ramesh, a British national of Indian origin, is currently under treatment. Meanwhile, the mortal remains of Vijay Rupani are being prepared for state funeral in Rajkot, with the national flag to be draped over his body. Around 2,000 kilograms of flowers will be used to decorate the hearse van. Authorities stated that all remains will be handed over to families with full dignity.
