 Sudan urges displaced citizens abroad to return home Sudan has called on all displaced citizens living abroad to return home, as the government steps up efforts to facilitate voluntary repatriation and remove barriers facing returnees. Prime Minister Kamil Idris said his office is committed to easing the return process and ensuring citizens can actively contribute to rebuilding the country, state media SUNA reports. Speaking during a visit to the Ashkeit border crossing in Wadi Halfa, Idris said authorities have taken steps to eliminate illegal levies and ensure that returning citizens are not subjected to additional fees, compulsory charges or arbitrary customs duties. He noted that such practices had previously placed an unnecessary burden on citizens without benefiting the state. ‎EID-EL-KABIR: CP KWARA FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM FAITHFULS, ASSURES ADEQUATE SECURITY FOR A PEACEFUL EID CELEBRATION.

‎The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo psc mnips, felicitates with all Muslim Ummah in Kwara State on the occasion of this year's 1446 AH Eid-el-Kabir, 10 Dhuʻl-Hijjah.

‎As families and communities come together to celebrate this sacred festival of sacrifice and devotion, the Command wishes everyone a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration.

‎In the spirit of ensuring safety for all, the Command has put in place comprehensive water-tight security measures across the state to guarantee a hitch-free Sallah celebration. An operation order has been drawn, directing Officers and men, Heads of Tactical Teams to provide adequate security at all Eid praying grounds and public spaces of gathering across the state. Visibility policing, intelligence gathering, men on patrol and guard duties will be carried out to prevent any form of heinous act.

‎While encouraging peaceful festivities, the Command kindly reminds residents that mounting of tents, canopies, or any form of obstruction on public roads is strictly prohibited. Such acts compromise public safety and will not be condoned. Anyone found breaching this directive will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

‎Residents are advised to adhere to all traffic rules and regulations, driving with due care and caution and also be mindful of other road users/pedestrians.

‎The Kwara State Police Command appreciates the cooperation of all residents and assures its unwavering commitment to the safety and security of lives and property before, during and beyond the festive period.
