 Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, has approved 100 hectares of land within the Abia Airport Project Site for the Nigerian Air Force to build its training base in Abia State. The Nigeria Air Force had requested an expansion of the 50 hectares of land already earmarked for its training base at the Abia Airport Project Site.  Governor Otti gave the approval on Tuesday, March 10th, in his office while receiving a delegation of the Nigeria Air Force (NAF), Ground Training Command led by the Commander, Air Vice Marshal Adebayo Gabriel Kehinde, who called on him. "The partnership is such that Abia State Government is handling the runway, and the Federal Government is handling the Airport Terminal.  "We expect the runway to be ready very soon. Enugu Governor Appoints Super Eagles Goalie Okoye as State Ambassador


Governor Peter Mbah has appointed Super Eagles and Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye as an ambassador of Enugu State, recognizing his football achievements and plans to invest in youth development. 


Okoye will establish a football academy in the state, with land provided by the government. The governor praised Okoye as a role model for youth, while the player described the honour as a special homecoming.
