 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.  Enyimba in Contract Talks with Stanley Eguma for Permanent Head Coach Role


Enyimba Football Club, the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, are negotiating with Stanley Eguma to appoint him as their permanent head coach, following his stint as interim manager last season.


Eguma, who took over mid-season after the dismissal of Olanrewaju Yemi, led Enyimba to a commendable sixth-place finish in the NPFL. The club also placed third in their CAF Confederation Cup group, narrowly missing the knockout stage.


According to club sources, Eguma has presented his contract demands to Enyimba’s management, who are currently reviewing them. Both parties are expected to finalize the agreement next week, paving the way for Eguma to assume the role on a permanent basis.


The negotiations signal Enyimba’s confidence in Eguma’s ability to steer the People’s Elephant back to the top of Nigerian and continental football.
