 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his counterpart from Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq presented medals to the winners of the 2025 President Federation Cup, Kwara United at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena,Onikan, Lagos.


The Harmony boys defeated Abakaliki FC 4-3 via penalty shoot-out following a stalemate after the 90th minute regulation time.


Present at the country’s oldest championship are the Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu; Chairman, Lagos State Football Association, Hajji Gaffar  Liameed.


Others are the Chairman National Sports Commission, Sheu Dikko; Director General,NSC , Hon. Bukola Olopade; Senior Special Assistant to President on Grassroots Sports Development, Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye and Director General, National Institute for Sports,Comrade Philip Shaibu, Directors from the Lagos State  Sports Commission, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports and other sports stakeholders.
