 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  Heart-stopping moment at Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour in Houston.

 During her performance of "16 Carriages" at NRG Stadium on Saturday night, the flying car prop carrying Beyoncé began tilting at a dangerous angle mid-air. 

The superstar immediately called "Stop, stop, stop" into her microphone as the music cut out.


 What followed showed exactly why she's the Queen - Beyoncé remained composed while suspended, thanked fans for their patience, and was safely lowered to the ground. She briefly left the stage before returning to finish the show, telling the crowd: "If ever I fall, I know y'all would catch me."
