KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. INDIA: A WEDDING CELEBRATION IN RAJASTHAN TOOK A DRAMATIC TURN AFTER A RS 14.5 LAKH GARLAND MADE OF ₹500 NOTES—THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE EVENT—WAS ROBBED AT GUNPOINT FOLLOWING THE CEREMONY.(PHOTO).

A wedding celebration in Rajasthan took a dramatic turn after a Rs 14.5 lakh garland made of ₹500 notes—the highlight of the event—was robbed at gunpoint following the ceremony.

The lavish wedding took place on June 1, 2025, in the Chopanki police station area.

The extravagant note garland, reportedly rented from Haryana, was gifted by a relative named Aamir and quickly went viral on social media for its opulence and unusual appearance. Videos of the groom proudly wearing the currency-laden garland have been widely circulated.

However, the celebration was cut short when the relative transporting the garland back after the event was intercepted by a group of men in a Creta car. According to the complaint, the vehicle rammed his bike and the attackers robbed him at gunpoint, fleeing with the valuable garland.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the robbery. Authorities are also probing whether the display of such a large sum of money may have attracted the criminals, and if there was any negligence or inside involvement.
