Blaming opposition for hunger is ‘delusion’, Atiku tells Tinubu Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of blaming the opposition for the country’s economic hardship. He said the President was trying to evade responsibility for his administration’s policies. Tinubu had earlier on Saturday blamed his political opponents for hunger and poverty in the country while speaking at the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna. “I hear my opponent talking about hunger, poverty. Who created it? They did! They created the hunger, they created the poverty. We are trying to eradicate it,” the President said.  Mpumalanga and Limpopo Police Nab Fugitive in Joint Operation at Waalkraal


A 36-year-old male suspect was arrested during a well-coordinated, intelligence-driven joint operation conducted by SAPS members from Dennilton in Limpopo and a Task Team from Mpumalanga on Monday, 24 June 2025, at midday. The suspect was apprehended while hiding in Waalkraal, located within the Dennilton policing area in the Sekhukhune District.


The operation followed actionable intelligence about the suspect’s whereabouts and his alleged possession of suspected stolen property, firearms, and ammunition. Acting swiftly, the joint team successfully tracked and arrested the suspect at the identified location.


During the arrest, police recovered various items, including ammunition, two replica firearms, multiple vehicle number plates, an undisclosed amount of cash, and a suspected stolen vehicle.


The suspect is expected to appear before the Dennilton Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 25 June 2025. He faces charges of possession of suspected stolen property, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and possession of ammunition.
