 Man brutalises his pregnant wife in Anambra  In another case of domestic violence, a pregnant woman was brutally beaten by her husband in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The mother of three identified as Chinelo Francis, from Ebonyi State, said trouble began when she requested money from her husband, Peter, to prepare food.  According to the young woman, she had already bought vegetable with the profit she made from her shop. Peter, also from Ebonyi, claimed he didn’t make money that day and took the children home.  He returned to her shop at around 8:00 PM and insisted she close up and come home with him.  She refused, explaining that the time was when she typically made most of her sales.  Later, she closed up her shop, went home at 9:30 PM, prepared the children for bed, and retired.  SECURITY IN ANAMBRA: POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTS WHO ARE PART OF A CRIMINAL SYNDICATE THAT DEFRAUDED A VICTIM OF TWO TRUCKS LOAD OF CEMENT WORTH SEVENTEEN MILLION NAIRA


Following a complaint received by Police Operatives attached to the 33 Police Station on how one Edwin Emeka of unknown address defrauded an unsuspecting member of the public of two trucks load of cement worth Seventeen million naira only, arrested one Nnanna Charles and Okoye Chukwunonso in possession of the rip-off goods.


The victim met Edwin online and has been in communication with him. Immediately the cement was supplied, all attempts to get to Edwin proved abortive,  before the Police Operatives traced the goods to different shops in the State. 


The two suspects are currently undergoing interrogations to provide more information on how to arrest Edwin and other syndicate members.


The case highlights the importance of vigilance especially those we meet online for business transactions and other personal engagements to prevent harm or loss of life and property. 


The Case shall be charged to court on the conclusion of the investigations.
