 PRESS RELEASE FCT POLICE RESCUE SUSPECT FROM JUNGLE JUSTICE OVER ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION OF 5 YEAR OLD CHILD. …CP FCT Condemns such acts as it delays the course of justice The FCT Police Command, on the 4th of October 2026 at approximately 02:46PM, received a distress call reporting that an unidentified adult male was being assaulted by an angry mob over an alleged attempt to abduct a child. Following receipt of the report, police operatives from Kuje Division were immediately dispatched to the scene, where one Bashir Usman was rescued from an irate mob that was about to lynch him. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was being assaulted by the mob over allegations that he attempted to abduct a five year old child in front of her residence in Angwan Lado, Kuje Area Council of the FCT.  SECURITY IN ANAMBRA: POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTS WHO ARE PART OF A CRIMINAL SYNDICATE THAT DEFRAUDED A VICTIM OF TWO TRUCKS LOAD OF CEMENT WORTH SEVENTEEN MILLION NAIRA


Following a complaint received by Police Operatives attached to the 33 Police Station on how one Edwin Emeka of unknown address defrauded an unsuspecting member of the public of two trucks load of cement worth Seventeen million naira only, arrested one Nnanna Charles and Okoye Chukwunonso in possession of the rip-off goods.


The victim met Edwin online and has been in communication with him. Immediately the cement was supplied, all attempts to get to Edwin proved abortive,  before the Police Operatives traced the goods to different shops in the State. 


The two suspects are currently undergoing interrogations to provide more information on how to arrest Edwin and other syndicate members.


The case highlights the importance of vigilance especially those we meet online for business transactions and other personal engagements to prevent harm or loss of life and property. 


The Case shall be charged to court on the conclusion of the investigations.
