 A Limpopo man who stabbed his girlfriend to death in front of his own mother will spend the next 20 years in prison. The Polokwane High Court sentenced 48 year old Nathaniel Molatelo Mokgehle from Sekonye Village in the Botlokwa policing area for the murder of his girlfriend, 41 year old Mokgadi Julia Mohlaela. The court heard he chased her out of the house and continued stabbing her until she collapsed and died. Mokgehle also received six months for malicious damage to property. The sentence will run at the same time as the 20 year murder sentence. Evidence presented in court showed the victim had previously opened a malicious damage to property case against him. He was still attending court for that case when the murder happened. The attack happened on 08 June 2025 around 16:00 at his mother’s home in Sekonye Village. QATAR AIRWAYS HAS BEEN CROWNED THE WORLD’S BEST AIRLINE AT THE 2025 SKYTRAX AWARDS. (PHOTO).


 Qatar Airways has been crowned the World’s Best Airline at the 2025 Skytrax Awards. 

The airline also won Best Airline in the Middle East, World’s Best Business Class, and Best Business Class Lounge. CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer said the awards reflect the passion and commitment of the entire team.


The recognition comes shortly after Qatar Airways announced a massive order of up to 210 widebody jets from Boeing. Al-Meer stated that the airline aims to set new benchmarks in service, comfort, and innovation across the aviation sector.


Singapore Airlines took second place and won awards for Best Cabin Crew, Best First Class, and Best Airline in Asia. Cathay Pacific ranked third, followed by Emirates and ANA All Nippon Airways. Turkish Airlines was awarded Best in Europe, and Air Canada topped North America.


Among low-cost carriers, AirAsia won for the 16th year in a row. IndiGo was named Best Low-Cost Airline in South Asia, while Bangkok Airways took the title of Best Regional Airline. The awards, based on over 22 million customer votes, were announced at a ceremony in Paris’s Le Bourget Airport.
