On 20 June 2025, at approximately 23:00, a 42-year-old male suspect, believed to be a security guard employed by a local security company, was arrested in Makhado in connection with a shooting incident that left a 28-year-old woman injured.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was travelling with family in a silver Toyota C-HR from Gauteng.
