 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom.  Senate Confirms Ex-Deputy Speaker as South-South Development Commission Chairman


The Nigerian Senate on Thursday confirmed former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche, as Chairman of the newly established South-South Development Commission. The Senate also confirmed Usoro Offiong Akpabio from Akwa Ibom State as the Commission’s Managing Director, alongside 13 other board members and five executive directors.


The confirmation process, however, was not without controversy. The nominee representing the North-West, Tijani Kaura, was dropped after failing to submit required documentation and refusing to appear before the Senate screening committee. The committee, chaired by Senator Benson Konbowei (PDP, Bayelsa Central), noted in its report that Kaura could still be considered if he complies with the screening requirements in the future.


The appointments were finalized following the Senate’s adoption of the report by the Committee on South-South Development Commission.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
