 Ariana Grande tells fans break from public appearances was planned long before recent announcement Ariana Grande returned to the stage in Chicago on Monday, Aug. 3 and used part of the show to clarify that her planned break from public appearances was decided well before it was announced. During her Eternal Sunshine Tour stop at the United Center, the singer read a prepared message to fans, saying the decision to step back after the tour was "not a reactive or impulsive thing" and that she had planned it "quietly, a long time ago." Grande also told the audience that suggestions that outside negativity was influencing her decision were not accurate. "No matter what noises exist out there, nothing will be able to distort my reality or be more real to me or not as real to me as this love that we share," she said.  Senate President Akpabio Pledges to Resolve Rivers State Political Crisis


Senate President Godswill Akpabio has reaffirmed the National Assembly’s commitment to resolving the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, more than three months after President Bola Tinubu declared a six-month state of emergency in the state.


Speaking on Thursday in Abuja while representing President Tinubu at the commissioning of the Kugbo Taxi and Bus Terminal, Akpabio assured that the National Assembly is actively working to restore political stability and peace. He emphasized ongoing efforts to address the root causes of the crisis and promote reconciliation among stakeholders.


“We are determined to ensure that normalcy returns to Rivers State. The National Assembly will work closely with all parties involved to ensure lasting peace and progress for the people,” Akpabio stated.
