 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Several People Killed in R81 Mooketsi Head-On Collision


A tragic head-on collision between two bakkies on the R81 near Mooketsi in Limpopo has claimed several lives and left others injured on Tuesday, 17 June 2025.


According to preliminary reports, one of the bakkies was transporting firewood when it collided head-on with another bakkie traveling in the opposite direction. The impact was so severe that both vehicles were extensively damaged, with some occupants trapped inside the wreckage.


Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, where some individuals were declared dead, while others were stabilised and transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment. The exact number of fatalities is yet to be confirmed, as authorities continue with investigations.


Motorists using the route were advised to exercise caution as recovery operations continued.
