 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Three Dangerous Murder Suspects Escape from Custody, Still at Large


Three awaiting-trial prisoners, Patrick Mbombi, Thabo Moye Makgopa, and Javas Mongwe, escaped from police custody on the morning of 24 June 2025 after overpowering officers at the Letsitele policing precinct. The suspects are still on the run.


The trio was being held for their alleged role in the brutal murder of Raymond Themba Mathebula, a former teacher at Kremetart Primary School and resident of Bode Village. The murder occurred in April 2024.


It is alleged that Mathebula’s wife, Mahlaule, hired the three men to kill her husband in exchange for an insurance payout. Reports indicate the suspects charged R200,000 for the hit, with R10,000 paid upfront and the balance to be paid after the insurance claim was processed.


Mahlaule and the suspects had been in custody following multiple court appearances.


Police have warned that the escaped men are extremely dangerous and have urged the public not to approach them. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact their nearest police station immediately.
