 Carrick favourite for Man Utd caretaker role Michael Carrick has emerged as favourite to be appointed Manchester United caretaker head coach, according to sources close to the process. Club chiefs are hoping to have an appointment in place for when players return to training on Wednesday. While a final decision is yet to be reached, talks are said to have progressed with the 44-year-old over the position. Carrick previously had a three-game stint as United's temporary boss following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal in 2021. He won two and drew one of those matches but left after Ralf Rangnick's arrival as interim manager. Solskjaer held face-to-face discussions with the club on Saturday about a return. United sacked Ruben Amorim as manager after 14 months in the job on 5 January.  TikTok superstar Khaby Lame was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Las Vegas for overstaying his visa.

 The Senegalese-Italian influencer, who rose from humble beginnings to become the world’s most-followed TikToker, has now left the U.S. after being granted voluntary departure.

Khabane "Khaby" Lame, the world's most-followed TikToker with over 162 million followers, was briefly detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on June 6. 


The 25-year-old Italian citizen, originally from Senegal, was held for overstaying his U.S. visa, which he entered on April 30, 2025.


ICE confirmed Lame was released the same day and granted voluntary departure, allowing him to leave the U.S. without formal deportation proceedings. 


Authorities stated he has since departed the country.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
