 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms.  Tiwa Savage halts London concert after spotting former teacher in crowd


Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage, halted her performance at a London concert after sighting her former teacher in the crowd.

Savage, during her performance at the Little Simz’ Meltdown Festival Show, paused and stepped down from the stage to meet a teacher who taught her English some years back.

In a now trending video on social media, the songstress walked up to the man to give him a hug and had a brief chat with him.

Walking towards him, she shouted “This is my English teacher”.

The incident excited the crowd and got them screaming.

This is coming a few days after Tee Billz,

the singer’s estranged husband, called her out for not having enough time for their son, Jamal.

Tee Billz also accused Savage’s manager of overbooking her.
