KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. UPDATE: THE WIFE OF RAJA RAGHUVANSHI, AN INDORE RESIDENT, HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY PLANNING HER HUSBAND’S MURDER DURING THEIR HONEYMOON IN MEGHALAYA.(PHOTO).

In a shocking incident, the wife of Raja Raghuvanshi, an Indore resident, has been arrested for allegedly planning her husband’s murder during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Raja’s body was found in a deep gorge near Sohrarim, Cherrapunji, on June 2, after the couple went missing on May 23. Police say the wife hired a group of men to kill him shortly after their wedding in Indore.

Meghalaya Director General of Police I. Nongrang confirmed that four people, including the wife, have been arrested in connection with the case. “She played a key role in planning the killing,” Nongrang said. Chief Minister Conrad Sangma praised the police for acting quickly and said the main suspects were caught within seven days. Three men from Madhya Pradesh have been arrested, while one female suspect surrendered. One more person is still being searched for.

Tourist guide Albert Pde gave important information to the police. He said he saw Raja, his wife Sonam, and three men climbing over 3,000 steps from Nongriat to Mawlakhiat on the morning of May 23. Pde had offered to guide them a day earlier, but they chose someone else, a local named Bha Wansai, and stayed overnight at a nearby homestay. He recalled that the three men were walking ahead, speaking in Hindi, and the woman was walking behind them.

Raja’s family, unhappy with the investigation, has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to involve the CBI. They believe the case needs a deeper probe. The police continue to investigate, and efforts are being made to find the last suspect.
