 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Tragic Loss: Woman Killed in Road Accident Days Before Reunion With Mother After 30 Years


A devastating road accident at Edjeba Junction near DBS, Warri, has claimed the life of Vivian Temi, a woman who was just days away from reuniting with her mother after more than three decades apart.


According to a report by Trish, the incident occurred on Thursday, June 5, as Temi was returning from the Nigerian Immigration Office. She had been making preparations for the long-awaited reunion with her mother, whom she had not seen in over 30 years.


Eyewitnesses allege that the accident was caused by a high-speed convoy belonging to an unidentified individual. The convoy, described as "reckless" and "overspeeding," reportedly crashed into the vehicle Temi was traveling in.


She was pronounced dead at the scene.


Temi, who would have celebrated her birthday on June 25, was widely known for her gentle spirit and love for children. Friends and members of her community have taken to social media and local gatherings to mourn her, remembering her as warm, soft-spoken, and deeply compassionate.


She is survived by her children and extended family.
