 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.  ‎100 Greatest Igbo icons to Be Honoured in Lagos by October 2025.

‎History will be made this October as Lagos plays host to what is being hailed as the Igbo Celebration of the Century, a grand cultural and intellectual gathering aimed at honouring the 100 Greatest Igbo Personalities of all time.


The landmark event is billed to take place at the prestigious Villa Angellia Hotels, Ikoyi, Lagos State, on October 17 and 18, 2025, drawing together the brightest stars of Igbo heritage from across Nigeria and the global diaspora.

‎the celebration seeks to spotlight outstanding Igbo men and women from all walks of life — including politics, academia, entrepreneurship, the arts, science, sports, traditional institutions, activism, diplomacy, and beyond.


The list, expected to ignite conversations across the country, will showcase the immense contributions of the Igbo nation to Nigeria’s development and global advancement.
