 El-Rufai to remain in custody as court adjourns bail application to April 14 Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of a Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the hearing of the bail application filed by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, to April 14th. The bail application of the former governor came up before the court today. April 1. The court adjourned the case after listening to arguments from both the defence and prosecution  El-Rufai was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on a 10-count charge bordering on alleged conversion of public property and money laundering. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The court ordered that he remain in ICPC custody pending the hearing of his bail application on the fixed date. The former governor arrived at the court premises around 9:00 a.m. in a black Hilux vehicle, accompanied by DSS officials.

 8 BOKO HARAM/ISWAP TERRORISTS ELIMINATED IN MANAWAJI BORNO STATE


At about 5:30pm on 30 June 2025, brave troops of Operation Hadin Kai on joint fighting patrol with elements of Civilian Joint Task Force(CJTF) and Hybrid Forces(HF) made contact with Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists at Manawaji in Gamboru Ngala LGA of Borno State.

Troops successfully attacked and eliminated 8 terrorists during the fierce firefight. Several weapons and ammunition of the dead and fleeing terrorists were also recovered. Own troops, CJTF and HF did not sustain any casualties. The general security situation in the area remains calm but fluid.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
