Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. A 3-YEAR-OLD FLORIDA BOY STRUGGLED IN WATER FOR 20 MINUTES BEFORE DROWNING IN A POOL WHILE HIS DAD SLEPT POOLSIDE IN A VERY DRUNKEN STATE. (PHOTO).

A 3-year-old Florida boy struggled in water for 20 minutes before drowning in a pool while his dad slept poolside in a very drunken state.

A young boy only identified as 'K.S.' was discovered floating in a Quality Inn Pool in Palm Bay, Florida on July 26th.

K.S. was discovered by a housekeeper who looked out of the window in a room she was cleaning and noticed the young boy floating in the pool.

The housekeeper ran from the room and began shouting to the child's dad, Sharef Omar Smith, who was sleeping very deep by the pool.

She screamed for Smith to grab the child, but rather than helping Smith remained motionless. The woman pulled the young child from the pool herself while Smith just stood there watching.

She again begged Smith for help and again her pleas went unanswered. Although the woman had no CPR training she began attempting life saving measures. She again asked Smith for help and rather than help, Smith became hostile and swore at the woman.

Smith would continue to be hostile towards hotel staff and first responders through the entire ordeal. He was uncooperative in providing details about how the child ended up in the pool.

The child was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was sadly pronounced deceased. A review of hotel security cameras revealed the boy could be seen struggling in the pool for 23 minutes in front of his dad, while his dad slept. The child tried desperately to get his dad's help.

Authorities would find a bottle of wine in Smith's poolside bag and another bottle in his room.

Sharef Omar Smith is being charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child and child neglect with serious bodily harm. He is being held in Brevard County Jail with no bond.
