U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates. How the Visa Bond Policy Works Under the permanent guidelines, U.S. consular officers have the discretion to instruct eligible applicants to post a bond as a prerequisite for visa issuance. However, U.S. authorities have clarified that the financial requirement will not be applied automatically to every traveler from the listed nations. Data anal...

SADLY, ANOTHER TEEN HAS TAKEN HIS LIFE DUE TO AN ONLINE SEXTORTION SCHEME.(PHOTO).

Sadly, another teen has taken his life due to an online sextortion scheme.

14-year-old Caleb Moore was a typical teenage boy living in El Dorado, Kansas.. He was the oldest of 5 children and set to start 8th grade in the fall.

Caleb took his own life on June 10th. His younger siblings (all 4) discovered him dying on the floor from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

This left Caleb's parents spinning out as they tried to cope with his untimely death. They wondered what had led to this point and have stated there were absolutely no outward signs Caleb was depressed or even stressed out. Caleb was a happy and nice kid.

During the ensuing investigation, a dark and heartbreaking story would emerge.

Police discovered that Caleb had fallen victim to an online sextortion scheme. Caleb had innocently enough began interacting with an individual he believed to be his own age over TikTok. As the relationship progressed, Caleb and the unknown suspect exchanged phone numbers.

After only a week and a half of texting, the perpetrator had their hooks in and began applying pressure on Caleb.

After only a 35-minute conversation, Caleb had lost all hope. In the moments before making that ultimate decision, Caleb told the unknown perpetrator that he would take his own life if they didn't quit threatening him.

Unfortunately for Caleb and his family, he would make good on that statement and end his own life.

Although the case is still under investigation, finding out who this heartless perpetrator is could be a long, drawn-out process. Authorities believe the texts probably originated from overseas.

Caleb's parents are praying for justice in their sons case, but hope that it can serve as a warning to other parents and teens alike. Be careful who you interact with online. Talk to your children about what they are doing online and let them know they can tell you anything; reassure them that nothing is so bad that you can't get through it.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Caleb Moore. May he rest in peace.
