 Alleged coup: Release our daddies, detained officers’ children protest at N’Assembly Scores of children and wives of military officers detained over an alleged coup plot on Wednesday staged a peaceful protest at the National Assembly, demanding a speedy trial and the release of the accused officials. The protesters gathered at the entrance of the National Assembly complex, moving in a slow procession while clutching placards with inscriptions such as “Don’t Kill Our Daddies,” “Detention Without Trial is Injustice,” and “Six Months of Torture: Enough Is Enough.”.  ABDUCTORS KILL LADY BEFORE RANSOM IS PAID


Abductors have reportedly killed a lady from Benue State before her family could deliver the ransom demanded on Friday.


Family and friends said the lady entered into the wrong car on her way from work in Abuja and that the abductors eliminated and dumped her body at Abubakar street, Off Alex Ekwueme street in Jabi before ransom could be raised.


"Her abductors demanded one million naira and the family members were already on their way to secure her release before seeing the circulating Facebook post.


“She’s a well discipline and cultured young lady who’s genuinely hustling to put food on her table, unfortunately, she fall victim of the wickedness of those who want to make money by all means.”

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
