After 34 unforgettable years, E! News is ending its run as a linear TV program officially wrapping on September 25, 2025. The show, once a cornerstone of celebrity culture, will shift to a fully digital presence. This move is part of a broader NBCUniversal restructure, with Access Hollywood and other sister programs continuing unaffected.
The nightly entertainment news program, which debuted in 1991, will continue as a digital brand. The decision to cancel the television show comes as part of a larger restructuring under Versant, a new media company formed from NBCUniversal's assets.
While the TV show is ending, E! News will continue to exist as a digital entity, with a focus on social media platforms. The show's current hosts, Keltie Knight and Justin Sylvester, will continue to be involved with the brand in some capacity. Employees were informed of the cancellation on July 24, 2025, and the final episode will air on September 25.
