 LAWMA Waste, Investigation, Surveillance and Enforcement operatives on night duty have apprehended two environmental offenders along the Jibowu and Ojota corridors of Ikorodu Road for engaging in illegal waste collection and indiscriminate disposal of refuse at unauthorized locations. The suspects, were arrested during routine surveillance operations after being found carrying out activities that constitute environmental nuisance and undermine approved waste management processes, despite repeated warnings and sensitization efforts. The offenders are being transferred to the Oshodi Task Force Office for prosecution through the Mobile Court in accordance with the environmental protection laws of Lagos State. LAWMA reiterates that illegal waste collection and indiscriminate dumping remain punishable offences.  APC Members Protest, Demand Removal of Lagos State Party Chairman


Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State are currently staging a protest in front of the State House of Assembly, calling for the removal of the state party chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.


According to The Punch, the protesters — who include representatives from all 57 local government areas in the state — were seen carrying placards with inscriptions such as “Ojelabi Must Go” and “We Need New Leadership.”


The protest, which began earlier this Monday morning, has drawn significant attention from security agencies, with police officers occupying the Assembly complex to prevent any outbreak of violence or unrest.
