Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London.  Atiku’s Aide Slams Keyamo Over Coat of Arms Controversy, Urges Resignation

Paul Ibe, Special Adviser on Media to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has called for the resignation of the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, accusing him of sycophancy and playing to the gallery. The demand follows Keyamo’s criticism of Atiku’s use of Nigeria’s Coat of Arms in a letter announcing his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

In a statement on Thursday, Ibe dismissed Keyamo’s allegation of impersonation, emphasizing Atiku’s stature as a former Vice President and his contributions to Nigeria’s democracy. “Where was Keyamo when Atiku Abubakar was in the frontline battling the military and, with other compatriots, able to get them out?” Ibe said. “He is just playing to the gallery. Sycophancy is the end game.”

Ibe further challenged Keyamo’s claims, stating, “Nobody is impersonating anybody. Atiku Abubakar is a former Vice President. That is known. I don’t want to dignify him (Keyamo). He can go to court if he wants to.” The exchange highlights escalating political tensions following Atiku’s exit from the PDP, as debates over protocol and political motives intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.
